Upon requests from mining clients, CHAMPION TYRES introduces the SOLID TRAC range of Heavy Duty Truck tyres with sizes from 10.00 to 12.00-24.

Following stringent performance tests, 45/65-45 tyre protection chains are added to our ROCK GUARD range, which now covers sizes 17.5-25, 26.5-25, 29.5-29, 35/65-33, and 45/65-45.

CHAMPION TYRES introduces the SOLID TRAC 12.00-24 Mine ROCK GUARD, developed to fit the new generation of Australian underground mine development trucks. The 24 ply rating tyre has a tread depth of 54mm and is fitted with a 15mm sidewall protection guard.

CHAMPION TYRES appointed by one of the world's leading mining companies as the official tyre supplier for its latest underground mining venture in Queensland due to begin operation in September 2007.

Our SOLID TRAC 10.00-20 18PR Mine ROCK GUARD OTR tyres have successfully completed an extensive test in NSW on underground mining road trains. The tyres achieved 1,000 hours operational time, cutting our client's per hour tyre cost by over 50%.

CHAMPION TYRES is appointed the exclusive Australian and New Zealand distributor of the SOLID TRAC range of mining, port, and forklift tyres.

CHAMPION TYRES introduces first Chinese made 35/65-33 L5S with steel breaker into Australia. We, at Champion Tyres, worked very closely with one of our mining customers and our Chinese manufacturer to develop the tyre over a period of four months.

DECEMBER 2006
ROCK GUARD tyre protection chains completed exhaustive tests in Australian conditions with flying colours. Field results have shown savings of over 40% in certain conditions. Independent overseas metallurgic analysis of the chains' link material reveals very high specification, on a par with the best of European chains.

Our new staff, coupled with our existing network of factory relationships, enhances our ability to source and ensure premium quality tyres. Our staff supervise everything from the initial factory audit before dealing with the factory through to pre-shipment inspections for every container.
